The implementation of e-tendering in Public procurement has been
announced in the Budget speech for 2007 - 2008 and is to be
implemented in two phases. In the first phase, starting from
01.07.2007, tender forms for open tenders for a value of
exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs can also be obtained through the internet
& in the second phase starting from 01.10.2007, bids can also be
submitted on-line through the websites. In respect of open
tenders of value exceeding Rs. 5.00 lakhs & upto Rs. 10.00
lakhs, existing procedure will be continued.
