For and on behalf of the Governor of Tamil Nadu Sealed percentage tenders will be received by the Superintending  Engineer (Highways) Salem Circle, Opposite to PCC, Thirumana mahal, Salem Steel Plant road, Jagir Ammapalayam  (PO) Salem 636 302 at his office 3.00 PM (as per office clock) on 5-11-2003 for the following works and the same will be opened on the same day (ie) 5-11-2003 at 3.15 PM. (as per office clock) by the Superintending Engineer,  (H) Salem in the presence of the tenderer or their authorised agents.

                        E.M.D. in the shape of deposit receipts, demand drafts, postal savings account, small savings scripts and National savings certificates duly pledged to the Divisional Engineer (H) Krishnagiri will be accepted.    The E.M.D. not pledged in favour of the Divisional Engineer (H) Krishnagiri  will not be accepted and the tenders will be summarily rejected. E.M.D. in the shape of irrevocable Bank guarantee issued by the Scheduled Bank pledged to the Divisional Engineer, (H) Krishnagiri will also be accepted.

 

                        Tenders may be sent through person or Courier or through registered post or ordinary mail so as to reach the hands of tender inviting authority before 3.00 PM (as per Office clock) on 5-11-2003.  Any tender received after the time set forth will not be entertained and returned unopened.  The department does not take any responsibility for the delay caused by the courier or postal authorities or the messenger whom so ever may be as appropriate.

 

                        Tender schedule can be obtained on written application upto 31-10-2003 during working days and working hours from the office of the Divisional Engineer, (H)

Krishnagiri on producing necessary receipted Treasury Chalan towards the cost and sales tax and surcharge (not refundable) duly remitted in the following head of account within

the jurisdiction of the Divisional Engineer (H) Krishnagiri.

                        Demand drafts drawn in favour of the Divisional Engineer (H) Krishnagiri obtained from scheduled banks also will be accepted towards cost  of tender schedule and sales tax and surcharge.

 

                        The tender documents will be supplied through registered post (or) courier to the contractor who makes a request for the same on payment of cost along with the postal charges of Rs.300/- in the shape of Treasury chalan (or) Demand Draft at the risk and responsibility of the contractor.  This department shall not be responsible for any delay in transit in such cases.

 

                        The contractor who have not participated in tender for the continuous period of two years and tender schedule purchased but not given as tender for continuously in three times action will be taken against them for removing their name from register of contractors as per G.O.Ms. NO. 21/Highways (HN2) Dept.

dated 26-1-1999.

 

                        The Superintending Engineer, (H) Salem reserves the right to reject any one or all tenders without assigning any reasons therefor.

 

NOTE:

1.      Cash/cheque will not be accepted towards the cost of tender documents and should be remitted in the respective head of account in the government Treasury residing in their respective area of the Division (H) Krishnagiri (or) Demand Draft in favour of the Divisional Engineer, (H) Krishnagiri   from Scheduled Bank also will be accepted towards cost of tender schedule including taxes.

2.      Sales Tax clearance certificate valid for the current period should be enclosed with the tender schedule.
