CHIT TENDER NOTICE

TENDER NOTICE NO.11/2003-04/D1, dated 10-10-2003

 

            For and on behalf of Governor of Tamil Nadu sealed percentage Tenders will be received by the Special Chief Engineer (H),  Reserve Line road, Palayamcottai, Tirunelveli-2 at his Office up to 3.00 PM (as per Office Clock) on  6.11.2003  in respect of following works  and will be opened on the same date ie.  6.11.2003 at 3.15 PM by the Special Chief  Engineer (H), Tirunelveli at his office in the presence of  the Tenderers or their authorised agents.

EMD in the shape of deposit receipts, demand draft, Postal Savings Account,  Small savings scrips  and National Savings Certificate, Kisan Vikas Patras duly pledged to the Divisional Engineer (Highways) concerned and Indira Vikas Patras which have not matured will  be accepted.  For item No. III, IV irrecoverable Bank Guarantees issued by the approved scheduled banks may also be accepted as EMD.  The earnest money deposit not pledged in favour of the Divisional Engineer (Highways) concerned will not be accepted and Tenders will be summarily rejected.

 

            Intending Tenderers may obtain prescribed forms of documents for the works in person or through their Authorised Agents from the Office of the Divisional Engineer (Highways) concerned up to 3.11.2003 during Office hours on all working days.  The tender documents duly filled in all respects may be sent in person or Courier or through Registered Post or Ordinary Mail so as to reach the hands of the tender inviting authority before 3.00 PM (as per Office Clock) on  6.11.2003

 

Any Tender received after the time set forth will not be entertained and will be returned unopened.  The department does not take any responsibility for the delay caused by the Courier or Postal Authorities or the Messenger whomsoever may be as appropriate.

 

            Prescribed forms of tender documents shall be purchased on written application up to    3.11.2003 during working days and working hours from the Office of the Divisional Engineer (Highways) concerned on producing necessary receipted Treasury chalan towards the cost of tender schedules and sales tax and surcharge (not refundable) duly remitted in the following head of account within the jurisdiction of the Divisional Engineer (Highways) concerned.

            Demand Draft drawn in favour of Divisional Engineer (Highways) concerned from Scheduled  Bank also will be accepted towards cost of tender documents  including sales taxes.

 

            The tender documents will be supplied through Registered post or Courier to the Contractor who makes a request for the same on payment of cost fixed for tender schedule along with postal charges at the risk and responsibility of the Contractor.  The Divisional Engineer (H) concerned shall not be responsible for any delay in transit in such cases.

 

NOTE:

 

1)      The tender schedule will be issued to the Registered Contractors of Highways Department as  I class (State level).

 

2)      The Special Chief Engineer (H), Tirunelveli or his successor or any competent authority reserves the rights to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason therefore.
