E.M.D. in
the shape of deposit receipts, demand draft, postal savings account, small
savings scripts and National savings certificates duly pledged to the
Divisional Engineer (H) concerned and Indra Vikas Patras will be accepted.
E.M.D. in the shape of irrevocable bank guarantee issued by the scheduled banks
pledged to the Divisional Engineer (H) concerned will also be accepted for Sl. No. 1 to 3. The
E.M.D. not pledged in favour of the Divisional
Engineer (H) concerned will not be accepted and tenders will be summarily
rejected. Tenders filled in all respects may be sent in person or courier or
through registered post or ordinary mail so as to reach the hands of bid
inviting authority before

Tender documents shall be purchased on written application upto 20.10.2003 during working days and working hours from the office of the Divisional Engineer (H) concerned on producing necessary receipted Treasury chalan towards the cost and sales tax and surcharge (not refundable) duly remitted in the following head of account within the jurisdiction of the Divisional Engineer (H) concerned.

Drafts drawn in favour of the Divisional Engineer (H)
concerned from scheduled banks also will be accepted, towards cost of bid
documents and sales tax & surcharge.
The
tender documents will be supplied through registered post (or) courier to the
contractor who makes a request for the same on payment of cost along with
postal charges at the risk and responsibility of the contractors. Divisional
Engineer (H) shall not be responsible for any delay in transit in such cases.
Percentage
tenders duly filled in all respects will be received upto
3.00 p.m on 22.10.2003 (as per office clock) by the
Superintending Engineer (H) Tiruchirappalli at his
office at
NOTE: Percentage tenders will be opened by the Superintending
Engineer (H) Trichy in the
presence of tenderers
at
The contractors who have registered in
this department in class I are elegible to tender the
work.
The contractors who have not participated in tenders for the continuous period of two years and tender schedule purchased but not given as tender for continuously in three tender calls, action will be taken against them for removing their name from register of contractors as per G.O.Ms. No. 21, Highways (HN2) Department, dated 25.1.1999. The Superintending Engineer (H) Tiruchirappalli reserves the right to reject any one or all tenders without assigning any reasons therefore.
NOTE: 1. Cash / Cheque will not be accepted towards the cost of tender
documents and should be remitted
in the respective head of account in the Govt., Treasury residing in their
respective area of the Division (or) through the D.D. from any scheduled Bank
obtained in favour of the Divisional Engineer (H)
concerned.

2. Income Tax clearance
certificate and Sales Tax clearance certificate valid for the current period
should be enclosed with the tender schedule.
3. Tenders from such those
contractors in joint venture arrangements will not be considered.
