TAMIL NADU STATE CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION LIMITED

Tamil Nadu State Construction Corporation Limited (TNSCC) was formed on 8.2.1980 under the companies Act, 1956 with the following objectives:

(i) To plan, organise and execute the works costing Rs. 50 Lakhs and more;

(ii) To undertake the works which have been abandoned by the Contractors and the works for which no tenders are received irrespective of the cost of the works.

During the past 21 years, it has executed works for a value of about Rs 302 crores for the Government  Departments / Boards and Public Sector Undertakings. These works include Construction of Buildings, Bridges, Roads, Temples, Overhead Tanks, Industrial Complexes, Commercial Complexes, Sports Stadium etc. The corporation has earned a contribution of Rs.15.86 crores by executing works for a value of Rs.302.00 crores.

During the period from 1991 - 92 to 1995 - 96 the Corporation executed works for a value of Rs. 156.73 crores against the value of Rs. 72.46 crores done during the period 1996 - 97 to 2000 -  2001. Some of the land mark works constructed by TNSCC are Lilly Pond Market complex, Panagal Building, World Tamil Conference works 1995, etc.
